asbits (Australian Small Business IT Services) was established in the late 1990's by a group of friends working for various large consulting companies. The great experience of working in these companies was often soured in having to deal with the inevitable red tape that came with working with big business.

The most rewarding work came working with smaller companies who:

• Were not bound in process to a level inhibiting creativity.

• Worked hand-in-hand with them as consultants to get the job done.

• Were able to work in an agile and partnered manner.

• Did not really care about what the technology was, or how 'new' it was - just that it provided the best business outcome for their business and their customers.

• Were not bound to doing things in a prescribed manner.

And so was asbits started with a mandate to work with clients who worked in a like manner.
